Description

Founded in 1995, the Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF) is one of the oldest festivals in Geneva dedicated to cinema and one of the first in the world to incorporate television into its programs. A crossroads of genres and disciplines, a place for experimentation, meetings, and celebration, it offers each year for ten days films, series, immersive experiences to about 35,000 festival-goers. The largest space in Switzerland dedicated to immersive arts, GIFF has become one of the major events in Europe. At the heart of the event is the GIFF PRO, a unique gathering in Switzerland dedicated to audiovisual innovation. More than 800 image professionals, industry players, and theorists from around the world meet, debate, and exchange ideas about what makes up today’s audiovisual universe and what will shape it tomorrow.
