GfuG Family-Day – Musical Reading «For the Capercaillie»

On Saturday, October 31, 2026, it's that time again: the GfuG Family Day 2026 will take place. The GfuG association warmly invites all families with children from about 3 years old! The event starts at 2:00 PM at i de Fabrik in Schwyz (Laubstrasse 4). This year's GfuG Family Day is all about the picture book «For the Capercaillie». In the book, a donkey finds a gift «For the Capercaillie» – but where does this mysterious animal live? His search around the myths leads to animal encounters, misunderstandings, and surprising insights. It is a humorous story about perspectives, the search for truth, and respectful interaction with nature and fellow human beings. The story works particularly well through the combination of word, image, and music. Therefore, we are pleased that the author duo of the book, Liv Stampfli-Huber and Ueli Stampfli (alias Troubadueli), will take us on the adventure with the donkey through their musical reading, allowing us to experience the story together. After a small refreshment, we will again devote ourselves to the animals from the story. Together, we will create various craft ideas so that each child can take home a personal memory of «For the Capercaillie». Those who want to buy the picture book «For the Capercaillie» (author team: Livia Stampfli-Huber, Ueli Stampfli and illustrations: Melanie Suter) will have the opportunity to do so after the musical reading. We look forward to a varied afternoon with games, entertainment, and beautiful shared moments. Event details:
