Description
The Bernese Historical Museum is undergoing a comprehensive renovation – the first in its history. Since its opening in 1894, the building has been expanded multiple times: from the historicism of the original structure, through the 'Moserbau' of 1922, to the striking 'Cube' with the large exhibition hall from 2009. The planned renovation and extension project sensitively combines the historic fabric with contemporary, visionary museum architecture. Learn how history and innovation are skillfully merged in an architectural bridge and how the museum is being reimagined for future generations. As part of the free Sunday, museum entry is free.
