With seven cinematic portraits about the fascination of classical music. (Classical) music and dance are simply inseparable. When the name Vaslav Nijinsky is mentioned, Claude Debussy's "Faun" is not far behind. The penetrating "Boléro," the most famous piece of music by the French composer Maurice Ravel, created in 1927/28 for a dancer, almost cannot do without movement. But is this music still interesting for today's and young audiences? And how! The seven-part dance evening "Radical Classical" honors the unique connection of the two art forms and presents seven extraordinary, contemporary choreographies in connection with seven world-famous classical music pieces. But that's not all: seven cinematic portraits contextualize the uniqueness of the music pieces and turn the evening into a multimedia aha experience. The young talents from the Theaterhaus-Company Gauthier Dance under the direction of Eric Gauthier, the Gauthier Dance JUNIORS, give this radically classical evening a form. It will be radically entertaining!
