Eva Christinat, Naturama Aargau, Project Manager for Nature Conservation and Climate, guides from the old village cemetery St. Sebastian across the parish garden to the garden complex around the Walter Huser studio.
Meeting point: Bus station St. Sebastian (RVBW line 3), 3:30 p.m. – Participation in the Sketch Crawl is free. Time for conversations: Sunday, August 30, 2026, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Anna Ninck, Art Educator, answers spontaneous questions in a one-on-one conversation and guides through the exhibition. Finissage and exhibition tour: Sunday, September 27, 2026, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Where in densely built Switzerland, especially in the even denser Limmattal, does nature still take place? In the sense of unbridled, infinite vastness, nowhere – but very diverse in very personal expressions in private gardens. The exhibition shows the variety of sprouting, thriving, and blooming, as well as crawling, wriggling, and flying, as it appears within the built environment.
What it is like in Wettingen, but also everywhere else where the Sketchers live and have been on vacation. Urban Sketchers are a worldwide community of illustrators who truly depict urban life as seen in all drawing styles – all drawing enthusiasts can and may participate.

General Information

The exhibition "Gardens – Urban Nature" showcases the diversity of nature in the urban environment. In cooperation with Urban Sketchers Switzerland, various events are offered, including an introduction and a Sketch Crawl. The exhibition takes place at Gluri Suter Huus in Wettingen.
