Spring Concert

Description

The orchestral association "collegium musicum" traditionally concludes the subscription season with its spring concert. Although the complete concert program has not yet been finalized, one piece is already confirmed. It is the String Concert by the Italian composer Nino Rota. Rota became internationally known mainly for his over 150 film scores. Among them are many film classics, e.g., by Federico Fellini and Luchino Visconti. For the film music "The Godfather - Part II," he received an Oscar and a Golden Globe Award in 1975, not to forget a Grammy Award in 1973 for "Best Original Score for a Film." Rota also composed concerts, symphonies, operas, oratorios, and masses alongside various chamber music works. Among them is the String Concert, which will be performed at the spring concert of collegium musicum. Be surprised which other works will complement the concert.
