Food for Thoughts – The House Guests' Banquet in October

At the desks under the roofs of the LCB, three international authors will be working in October: Otoniya Juliane Okot Bitek from Canada, whose novel has just been published by Orlanda Verlag, will be visiting. Beata Umubyeyi Mairesse from France – awarded the Franz-Hessel-Preis in 2024 – researches colonialism, and Lithuanian writer and historian Tomas Vaiseta explores the post-Holocaust. From Vienna, the Leipzig poet and essayist Nea Schmidt will arrive, and from Wedding, Josefine Berkholz, who moves between spoken word and philosophy and is working on her first novel in one of our ateliers. Through readings and conversations (partly in English), they will provide insights into their works. As always at the House Guests' Banquet: food and drinks will be served. With kind support from the Federal Foreign Office, the Berlin Senate, and Berliner Sparkasse. General Information

In October, three international authors will be working at the Literary Colloquium Berlin. Through readings and discussions, they will present their works and discuss topics such as colonialism and the post-Holocaust.
