Patrick Devonas, born in 1965 in Lucerne, is a painter and sculptor with a ten-year academic training in figurative art in the USA, completed in 1997 with an MFA Cum Laude from the New York Academy of Fine Art. Since his return to Switzerland in 2012, he has been running the Atelier Narasca in Surava with Estella Devonas and Dorian Iten, with an additional home in Etniko in Chur. In his painting and sculpture, he combines classic craftsmanship with contemporary themes. The human body remains his central subject, not as an anatomical object, but as a bearer of history, psyche, and lived individuality. For Devonas, art is individuality; depth arises for him only through the individual.
