Description

What do the expropriation and migration of film heritage created under colonial conditions mean? What models of critical re-appropriation are available, and what forms of cooperation exist between archives? Film scholar and curator Nikolaus Perneczky demonstrates through two films how issues of restitution and reparation also concern moving images in archives. Introduction by film scholar and curator Nikolaus Perneczky and subsequent discussion, moderated by Philip Widmann (UZH), in English. The evening is part of the inter-university doctoral cooperation «Visual Dispositives: Cinema, Photography, and Other Media» (University of Zurich / University of Lausanne).
