Description

Doors open at 8:00 PM Tables by reservation 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM MARLÈNE DIETRICH CABARET, THE JOURNEY OF A QUEER ICON political, literary, and musical cabaret created by Emilie Pictet German actress and singer Marlène Dietrich, born in 1901, immortal performer of Lola-Lola in “The Blue Angel,” has sown an aesthetic of disturbance — a fusion of glamour, masculine and feminine, foreshadowing queer identities of the 21st century. This cabaret explores the transgressive trajectory of one of the most powerful queer icons of the 20th century, from her Prussian bourgeois origins to international star status, passing through queer clubs in 1920s Berlin. Marlène transformed smoking into a political statement and the stage into a place of defiance against fascism. May her spirit of radical freedom revive! With Émilie Pictet – acting and singing, Lady Ricart – piano, Claudette Plumey – acting, Pasquale Plastino – dramaturgy, Angélique Venditti – sound, Clive Jenkins – sound specialization, Sarah Siewert – costumes, and Margarita Gingins – production Émilie Pictet, a multidisciplinary artist trained in theater and lyrical singing, has had an international solo career for over fifteen years. Alongside opera, she develops a unique creation approach, exploring the biographies of atypical women (Grisélidis Réal, Anne Frank, Marlène Dietrich) or inspired by significant literary works (Marie Galante, The Seven Deadly Sins, Merci Berlin!). Her career is marked by prestigious collaborations with major figures of the international scene, including Olivier Py, Calixto Bieito, Vera Nemirova, Irène Jacob, and Macha Makeïeff. Lady Ricart is a cross-dressing creature and a regular of Parisian nights. Sulfurized queen with sharp wit and aniseed complexion, she loves poetry, good wine, and everything queer. Her bourgeois side does not make her less modest when suddenly craving nudity. Lady, at your service! 10:30 PM – Midnight MASCARE & CO CABARET Poetic sound artist, DJ, and subversive artist, Mascare weaves music, memory, and words into acts of underground resistance, to make the ghosts of patriarchy dance. With Bili Bellegarde, a singer with a golden voice, driven by an unwavering desire to “gouine” the world and surprise guests. Midnight – 1:30 AM MASCARE DJ SET Mascare emphasizes underground resistance and the South American queer alternative scene. 1:30 AM – 4:00 AM DJ SET
