Feder und Bogen 1: Erich Kästner

Description

This event is part of the 'Feder und Bogen' series, where musicians from the Zurich Chamber Orchestra collaborate with actor Thomas Douglas and dramaturg Anina La Roche to create small musical worlds inspired by fascinating personalities from music and literature history. Set in Berlin during the Weimar Republic, the program spans a range of musical styles from revue theater, jazz, chansons, and Schlager to Hindemith's Neue Sachlichkeit, with a focus on Erich Kästner's children's books, satirical social commentary, and the vibrant cultural scene reminiscent of 'Babylon Berlin'.
