Description

Dr. Nest is awakened by voices. But as he slowly comes to in the Villa Blanca sanatorium, he is alone. Unease creeps over him. What has he lost here? "Dr. Nest" is a piece about the fragility, mobility, and creative power of the human psyche.

In search of certainty, he clings to fragments of his memory – the life he has left behind. As a young doctor, he now confidently takes on a new position. Driven by empathetic thirst for knowledge, he encounters the equally strange and mysterious phenomena of his patients: bodies with a life of their own, split personalities, compulsive confusions, demons, and delusions. What initially unsettles him soon appears as a crazy mirror of his own doubts and insecurities. The fine line between normal and not normal, between conscious and driven, crazily shifts like the walls of the stage set. Courageously, Dr. Nest follows his inner voice and enters a dark labyrinth in search of closeness – and of himself.
