Description
Experience the unique opportunity to visit areas not typically included in the standard tours of Slatiňany Castle. On October 17 and November 17, 2026, the basic tour of the entire castle will be exceptionally extended to include a visit to the restored above-ground connecting corridor and the noble chapel of St. Martin's Church. The approximately forty-meter-long corridor was created in 1861 according to the design of architect František Schmoranze the Elder. It provided the princely family of Auersperg with a comfortable and covered access from the northern wing of the castle directly to the private chapel of St. Martin's Church. In 2026, its extensive heritage restoration was completed. During the tour, you will pass through the representative and private rooms of the princely family, visit the castle kitchen, and enter the restored connecting corridor, reaching their private chapel in St. Martin's Church. The connecting corridor and chapel are not part of the regular visitor operations. Tours will take place on October 17 and November 17, 2026, as part of the basic tour of the entire castle. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance online. The admission for this event is not increased and corresponds to the admission for the tour of the entire castle.
