European Day of Restoration

On Sunday, October 18, the European Day of Restoration takes place. You can also join us at the museum.

Two industrial heritage restorers provide insight into their work and share their most challenging assignments and most exciting experiences in their daily lives. In a workshop, you get the opportunity to be active yourself and learn from the masters.

The European Day of Restoration takes place annually on the third Sunday in October. The doors of restoration studios are opened to give insights into the work of restorers.

In Switzerland, the Swiss Association for Conservation and Restoration (SKR) together with the Swiss Conservation-Restoration Campus (association of conservation and restoration study programs in Switzerland) coordinates the Day of Restoration.

On Sunday, October 18, the European Day of Restoration takes place at the Museum Schaffen in Winterthur. Restorers provide insights into their work and report on their most exciting projects. Visitors have the opportunity to be active themselves in a workshop and learn from the experts.
