etwas bleibt – Cycle 1

Description

The idea of «etwas bleibt» is simple. Of everything shown here, something remains. An object, a book, a drawing, a work, a something that is not put away after the end of an exhibition but carries over to the next. At the same time, we ask the question, what remains. What remains of what we do? What remains of our ideas? What remains of the good, what of the bad? What remains of us? We pursue this question in cycles. Sometimes playfully, sometimes with more seriousness. Sometimes we cross boundaries, sometimes we stick to them. «etwas bleibt» takes place at Bäckerstrasse 27. In three shop windows and one room. In the first cycle, we invited two female artists and one male artist to fill the shop windows and the shop space.
