A celebration of black metal at Brno's Melodka for the fourth time! Five bands from the Czech Republic, Malta, Italy, and Austria will arrive, united by darkness, intensity, and dedication to extreme metal. DÉTRESSE | Black Metal | AT
Main act of the evening. Détresse is a black metal trio from Vienna, with members from Austria and Quebec. Their music is based on raw riffs, crushing drums, striking melodies, and vocals full of despair and inner tension. Their debut album "Pessimismes," released in May 2025 by the German label Vendetta Records, features six tracks filled with coldness, anxiety, and hopelessness. The lyrics combine French and German, and the entire recording serves as an intense and personal statement. In 2026, Détresse continues their concert activity across Europe, and their current work from the upcoming album "Misères" confirms their position as one of the remarkable new bands in the European black metal underground.

The Italian project Unviâr brings black metal strongly connected to the landscape, history, and cultural identity of the Friûl region. Their music combines atmospheric passages with dark and melancholic black metal motifs, drawing from the history and cultural heritage of their country. Following the 2023 EP Faliscjis, the 2025 album Disglaç further develops their unique perspective on atmospheric black metal.

From far Malta comes Thy Legion – a band that combines the aggression of death metal with the dark atmosphere of black metal. The band was formed in 2004 and has built a reputation as a significant force in the Maltese extreme metal scene. They have four studio albums, with the latest, Grand Cosmic Funeral, released in 2024. Thy Legion has also performed alongside names like Vader, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Destroyer 666.

Local band Eternal Damnation returns to the Melodka stage. Since their demo in 2018, the band has drawn from the traditions of the second wave of black metal while bringing their own interpretation of the genre based on colorful atmosphere and contemporary sound. The concert will feature both older material and tracks from the upcoming album Wailing Of The Stars.
