First Freiburg Krautrock Festival - with BIRTH CONTROL / GURU GURU / EMBRYO / DREAM CONTROL feat. Steve Schroyder & Zeus B. Held

Description

FREIBURG KRAUTROCK FESTIVAL
Freiburg becomes the epicenter of Krautrock: With the first Freiburg Krautrock Festival, the city celebrates one of the most influential and experimental currents in German music history. An evening full of hypnotic grooves, psychedelic soundscapes, and improvisational energy where pioneering spirit and present meet.
The legendary bands BIRTH CONTROL, GURU GURU, EMBRYO, and DREAM CONTROL will revive Krautrock at the "Haus der Jugend".
Krautrock emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s as a radical musical movement beyond Anglo-American rock traditions. Bands experimented with electronic sounds, repetitive rhythms, and long, trance-like improvisations – creating a sound that continues to influence artists worldwide today.
The Freiburg Krautrock Festival brings this special atmosphere live to the stage. The audience can expect a journey through cosmic synthesizer sounds, motoric beats, and psychedelic guitars – from driving jam sessions to atmospheric sound experiments.
Besides music, one thing is especially central: the shared experience. The festival sees itself as a meeting point for music lovers, scene connoisseurs, and curious explorers who want to experience the spirit of Krautrock anew.
