Ersatzkopf is not about those replacement heads made of crack-proof, break- and wear-resistant polyamide that you can buy at Ochsenkopf, nor is it about the special shape of an ancient Egyptian sculpture, which was used exclusively during the Old Kingdom as part of tomb furnishings. No, Ersatzkopf is a band. On their albums, all called Irgendwas-mit-geil, razor-sharp guitar riffs are paired with grooving basslines and driving drums. But it is the perfect mix of powerful music with expressive lyrics that makes Ersatzkopf so unique in the German music scene.
