Description
The Hans Erni Museum, in collaboration with the SGBK (Swiss Society of Visual Artists) Bern/Romandie section, presents an exhibition exclusively for female artists on the theme of Myth. Artistic positions from the SGBK and guests from the Lucerne art scene, who deal with the theme «Myth – old stories, new forms», are displayed. The exhibition explores these diverse interpretations and representations of myth in contemporary art, thus encouraging discussion. It is based on the work of the house artist: Hans Erni (1909–2015), who was not only an outstanding Swiss artist but also a powerful storyteller. After welcoming remarks from the Hans Erni Foundation and the SGBK, curator Ursula Meier and Heinz Stahlhut will introduce the exhibition. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to visit the exhibition and exchange ideas over a subsequent aperitif. Admission is offered by the Hans Erni Foundation; access is via the entrance hall of the Verkehrshaus, Haldenstr. 44.
