ELSEWHERE - Linocuts Claas Gutsche, Philipp Hennevogl, Sebastian Speckmann September 26 to October 18, 2026 Opening: Saturday, September 26, 2026, 4 PM The exhibition opening will be attended by Mathias Kobel, curator of the exhibition The artists will be present at the opening The exhibition features current paper works by Claas Gutsche, Philipp Hennevogl, and Sebastian Speckmann. The central focus of their artistic practice is linocut. The artists work in different ways and give traditional printmaking a strong contemporary relevance. This is the first time the artists are showing their works together in Bern. All three artists have previously exhibited their works in solo exhibitions at the Museum Franz Gertsch in Burgdorf (Hennevogl 2011, Gutsche 2016, Speckmann 2018). Claas Gutsche (*1982 in Blankenburg/Harz) studied at the Hochschule für Kunst und Design in Halle an der Saale, at the University of Brighton, and at the Royal College of Art in London. He lives and works in Berlin. Philipp Hennevogl (*1968 in Würzburg) studied Fine Arts/Painting at the University of Kassel. In 2010/11, he received the Mainz City Printer Award. In 2009, he received the Würzburg City Culture Promotion Award. Hennevogl lives and works in Berlin. Sebastian Speckmann (*1982 in Wolfen) completed his studies at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig under Neo Rauch and was a master student of Heribert C. Ottersbach. He lives and works in Leipzig.
