Description

The two friends Elling and Kjell Bjarne are excited: together they are moving into their first own apartment in Oslo, provided by the social welfare office. The everyday things of life such as making phone calls, shopping, and cooking, however, pose real challenges for the mismatched pair. Because the place where they met is a psychiatric clinic. And now, the self-proclaimed, neurotic mama's boy Elling and his "blood brother" Kjell Bjarne, for whom there seem to be no interests other than food and sex, are to be reintegrated into society. They are supervised by social worker Frank. When the heavily pregnant neighbor one evening lies drunk in front of her door, the lives of the two take an unexpected turn. What is actually normal? Aren't we all a little crazy with our fears, blockades, and ticks?
