Description
Elizabeth I. reigned for 45 years on the throne. Her reign was so successful that an entire era is named after her: the Elizabethan age. However, Friedrich Schiller presents her in Maria Stuart as a capricious, unscrupulous, and hypocritical tyrant. So it's time to bring down Schiller's misogynist tragedy and present a humorous-feminist counterpoint – an Elizabeth of the 21st century. What does female self-assertion mean today in a male-dominated world? How is power reflected in the everyday lives of each of us? These questions are addressed by the author Gornaya and actress Milva Stark. And they do not shy away from their personal (professional) everyday life. Elizabeth – I’m not a Bitch deals with authority and responsibility and questions the relationship between the genders: Can we free ourselves from role assignments and meet as human beings?
