Einwürfe und Kopfbälle – Fussballgeschichten der Literatur-Nati

Description

A national football team of authors, poets, songwriters, and cabaret artists? That's possible! The Swiss Literature National Team has been playing international matches against writers from Germany, Austria, or Scotland since 2006, competing with teams from cantonal parliaments and the National Council, as well as selections from newspaper editorial offices and orchestras. They celebrate their twenty-year existence with a collection of short stories, poetry, and spoken-word texts about football. Current and former team members share stories of animals in the stadium and the loneliest hooligan in the world, reminisce about the meadows where they played as children, and reveal tricks to possibly defeat the German national team. A reading book with astonishing, unheard, and touching texts that turn the most important side issue in the world into the main literary subject and look far beyond the playing field. Edited by Pino Dietiker, Bänz Friedli, Andri Perl, and Regula Wenger. Featuring original contributions from Wolfgang Bortlik, Demian Cornu, Numa Francillon, Bänz Friedli, Sandra Hughes, Renato Kaiser, Joanna Yulia Kluge, Rolf Lappert, Pedro Lenz, Ueli Mäder, Marianne Meier, Béla Rothenbühler, Stef Stauffer, Patrick Tschan, Regula Wenger, and many others.
