Description
This comedy – brought back to the Lindau stage by Heiko Ruprecht – surprises with the contrast between lightness and darkness. Bertrand feels he has missed his life and wants to end it by jumping out of the window. The attempt fails when suddenly a stranger appears at the door, pointing a gun at him. An absurd dialogue unfolds between the two men about the reasons for one’s suicide and the presence and mission of the other. Gradually, it is revealed that the would-be murderer is none other than an employee of Death himself, who has mistaken the floor. When Bertrand realizes that it is not he, but Clémence – who lives above him and whom he secretly admires – who is to be taken, he suddenly no longer rushes to die, and a race against time begins – Einszweiundzwanzig vor dem Ende.
