Description
"A Christmas Carol"
by Charles Dickens
---
An interactive theater piece for the whole family with Lorenz Chr. Köhler as Ebenezer Scrooge
and Nanda Ben Chaabane as Fanny Scrooge
Bob Crachit & live music: Falk Schönfelder The Drehbühne Berlin presents "A Christmas Carol", based on Charles
Dickens, as an interactive theater production with acting,
puppet show, film sequences, and live music. The piece is performed both as
a station theater with changing performance stations and
as a traditional stage production, e.g., at the Berliner Wühlmäuse.
The story, which the author himself called "A Ghost Story" in the subtitle, is perfect for an
interactive adaptation involving the audience, stage, live music, and film sequences.
Together with the hard-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge, who despises Christmas
and considers it "Humbug," the audience meets the spirits of Christmas past,
present, and future. Children are especially involved in the story: Scrooge's sister
Fanny secretly introduces them and encourages them to participate and "spook" along.
The Drehbühne tells the famous classic in its own unique way. Its version remains closely connected to Dickens’ story but also takes its own paths and offers some surprising twists. And
luckily, there is someone who has not yet given up hope
that the heart of the miserly, misanthropic Scrooge might still soften...
The Drehbühne Berlin is known to the Berlin audience for its productions of "The Little Prince" at the Admiralspalast, "The Jungle Book"
at the Botanical Garden, or "The Little King December" at
Schlosspark Theater. Cast:
