Description
Famous and lesser-known women come into the light: the most influential woman of the Augustinian Canons' Monastery, a resolute teacher, the dreamy girl at the fountain – and you yourself, as a participant, in the mirror of Kreuzlingen's city history. This tour leads between the lake, schools, and urban space and invites reflection on central questions: What space do women occupy in history? What significance has been and is attributed to them?
The tour approaches women's biographies from spiritual, educational, artistic, professional, and private contexts. It also points to women's fates of past centuries and opens their historical classification – inspiring, reflective, and with a view to the present. The tour ends at the DAS TRÖSCH meeting center with an exclusive insight into some works by the Kreuzlingen artist Helen Dahm and offers space for exchange and encounter about the women of Kreuzlingen. An offer for all who want to think history in a female way.
