Description

The Swiss duo Egopusher, consisting of Alessandro Giannelli and Tobias Preisig, defies the reductive mechanics of many contemporary dance music, where the 'Drop' occurs and body reactions are predictable. On 'Radiance', the grooves shift, evolve, and breathe – they are closer to organic movement than to club formulas. The dancer becomes an active creator rather than a passive recipient. His body interprets, shapes with, and ultimately completes the music. Ten years after beginning their collaboration, Egopusher has created its most distinctive and conceptually focused album to date. The upcoming album 'Radiance' is less a departure than an arrival – the sound of two musicians who have spent a decade developing a common language and exploring how much space it offers. The album, recorded over two intense weeks in Zurich, weaves vintage synthesizers, drum machines, Mellotron choirs, and analog drums with violin and viola in a way that resists simple categorization. Egopusher itself describes it as cinematic dance music. Put simply, it is an album about a fundamental property of light: the radiance itself.
