The Franco-Brazilian guitarist Edwin Correia and the Brazilian singer Dandara Modesto met during a night jam session in Salvador da Bahia. After returning to Switzerland, the two musicians found an instinctive and profound collaboration. On their first album, Chama ("Flame" in Portuguese), released in 2026, they create a world where the richness of their Afro-Brazilian heritage merges with the freedom of contemporary jazz. Traditional rhythms, delicate melodies, and modern harmonies weave together into a nuanced soundscape. 2026–27 sees jazz entering Noda WKB—multifaceted, surprising, and limitless! Seven concerts invite you to explore the diversity of the Western Swiss scene: jazz and improvisation meet Afro-Brazilian rhythms, hip-hop, baroque influences, and contemporary sounds. The Nodathèque becomes a vibrant meeting point for new sounds, unexpected encounters, and music beyond all boundaries.
