In 1958, in Noeux-Les-Mines, Sosthène has just bought a television thanks to his silicosis pension. He wants to see Raymond Kopa, star of the French team and former miner of Noeux, score goals for France at the World Cup in Sweden. Meanwhile, his son Pierre and his best friend Vlad dig at the mine, raise carrier pigeons, and play the accordion. But this small world wavers when Leila arrives in the orchestra led by Sosthène, to play the accordion…In a show where every shade of gray subtly evokes the omnipresence of coal dust, seven talented actors take us on a magnificent journey into the heart of the lives of the black faces.
