Pottery on the wheel for beginners and advanced learners. Two days to disconnect from everyday stress and become creative? Design your own coffee mugs and breakfast plates? Our monthly weekend wheel courses aim to facilitate entry into working on the pottery wheel. Through individual support, we teach the basic techniques required to produce simple vessels on the wheel, up to the finished glazed piece. No prior knowledge is necessary. By the end of the course, everyone will be able to hold their first self-made cereal bowls, coffee cups, and perhaps much more in their hands. With these acquired skills, you can continue your successes in the Open Workshop. Content: Centering, opening, setting the base, and pulling up a vessel

Painting and glazing (in the open workshop, free of charge) This course is offered as a weekend course or alternatively as an ongoing course with 5 sessions.

General Information

The pottery wheel course at FABRIK for Craft, Culture & Ecology in Freiburg im Breisgau offers an introduction to pottery art. Participants learn the basic techniques of wheel throwing and can take home their self-made vessels at the end of the course.
