Dr. MANFRED LÜTZ and WOLFGANG ABENDSCHÖN & AKZENTE - Cabaret-Concert-Reading with a Skillful Touch of Rock & Gospel

Description

Dr. MANFRED LÜTZ and WOLFGANG ABENDSCHÖN & AKZENTE Cabaret-Concert-Reading with a Skillful Touch of Rock & Gospel Dr. Manfred Lütz and Wolfgang Abendschön & AKZENTE are performing on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 8 p.m. in the special atmosphere of the Stadtkirche am Marktplatz Karlsruhe, a beautiful Weinbrenner church that is also the Baden Bishop's Church.
With their program "Unavoidably Happy and More," they venture a departure with summit experiences and valleys, arduous ascents, and nostalgic farewells. What drives our soul throughout life? The beat is good. Manfred Lütz is a doctor and psychiatrist, many years chief physician at the Cologne Alexianer Hospital, theologian, cabaret artist, and bestselling author. His books have topped the bestseller lists for weeks, including eleven Spiegel bestsellers. The titles of his books, such as "Crazy! We Treat the Wrong People, Our Problem Are the Normals" or "Joy of Life - Against Diet Dystopians, Health Fads, and Fitness Cults," indicate the humorous tone in which he caricatures societal behaviors and trends. Popular happiness guides, for example, are for him the best companions on the way to unhappiness. He condemns the constant concern for health as a fashion disease: "Some people only live preventively and then die healthy. They are ultimately dead too." The "master of cheerful psychology" manages to train both our brains and our laughing muscles in an unparalleled way. He is connected with rock poet Wolfgang Abendschön through a long-standing special collaboration. Wolfgang Abendschön is one of the most renowned and interesting German Christian rock poets, an imaginative boundary-crosser and fascinating longing pilgrim. He regularly tours with his band "ABENDSCHÖN & AKZENTE," for which he writes lyrics and music. Collaborations include the German Catholic Day, the German Protestant Church Day, and the Ecumenical Church Day. Numerous CD and book releases, music videos. This year, he performed celebrated concerts and his current album "Trust in Their Love" at the German Catholic Day 2026 in Würzburg. In his hometown Karlsruhe, Wolfgang Abendschön has the highly successful project "ANDERE KirchenTÖNE" at the Stadtkirche am Marktplatz Karlsruhe and the Kleine Kirche, extending far beyond church and city walls. An extraordinary cabaret-concert-reading with a skillful touch of rock & gospel in the magnificent Weinbrenner church, which is also the Baden Bishop's Church. The host is Karlsruhe city dean Dr. Thomas Schalla.
