Doris Dörrie

Description

Doris Dörrie – Writing, Living, Being More than 30 films she has directed, more than 20 books published, productions for theater and opera. She became famous with her film «Männer», and now Doris Dörrie moves virtuously between literature and film, lightness and depth. Her texts tell of traveling and living, of loss and transformation, always with a keen eye for the humorous in the serious. Her stories deal with shifts in everyday life where lives are decided. In conversation with Nicola Steiner (Director of Literaturhaus Zürich), the award-winning filmmaker and author opens her writing workshop and talks about inspiration, doubt, and the art of (re)creating stories.
