Description
Inspired by the children's book of the same name by Gioconda Belli, this puppet show tells of a world where everything has yet to be invented. The so-called creators produce plants and animals, but there is a strict rule: everything must be useful, and the animal and plant worlds must never mix. The young creator Rodolfo dreams of something else. He wants to create a being that can fly like a bird and be as beautiful as a flower. Between sketches, experiments, and many failed attempts, an idea grows that could change everything: the butterfly. The artisans tell a poetic story about curiosity, inventiveness, and the courage to believe in seemingly impossible dreams. The stage adaptation combines puppet theater, music, and visual elements into a fantastical theatrical experience. Concept/Design: Artisanen, Berlin
