With "Die Wand 2.0," Theater Pro adapts Marlen Haushofer's famous novel to the digital present. The focus is on a woman who has been living in isolation for years. But unlike Haushofer, she does not write a report about her life behind the invisible wall. She points her smartphone camera at herself.
She speaks. She films. She remembers. She sends.
The protagonist becomes the influencer of her own loneliness. Her thoughts, fears, and memories turn into a public video diary for an imaginary followers. She is constantly visible – yet remains alone.
Thus, Haushofer's "Wall" takes on a new meaning: it becomes a metaphor for a digital world where millions of people can communicate with each other, yet genuine closeness can still be absent.
