Die Wahrheit (La Vérité) - Badische Landesbühne

Description

Comedy by Florian Zeller The Truth - About the advantages of keeping it secret and the disadvantages of telling it (La vérité) Two couples, friends for years. Only Vincent cheats on his friend Paul with his wife Alice. And lies to his wife Sophie out of love. But what do Alice, Sophie, and Paul know? A clever game of lies and truth. "If people stopped lying to each other, there would be no couples left on earth. In a way, that would be the end of civilization." That's why Vincent avoids the truth, because he has been having an affair with Alice, the wife of his best friend Paul, for months. However, she increasingly feels guilty about the lies. When Paul suspects that Alice is cheating on him, Vincent begins to doubt. Did Alice really gossip? And does his wife Sophie suspect anything? Florian Zeller has written a delightful, cunning comedy with The Truth, which advances the plot with pointed dialogues and surprising twists. When you think you know the truth, it is suddenly turned upside down. Until the very end! -- Age recommendation: from 14 years
