A book stolen by a child who sits alone and reads. A child who is neither particularly popular nor seems brave. But why can Atréju, who is in the story, hear the child's voice? And what does courage have to do with saving the fantasy? Michael Ende's The Neverending Story is considered a classic for generations of readers. In the 2025/26 season, the fascinating journey through Phantásien returns in the production directed by Schauspiel­direktor Roger Vontobel – once again as a story about personal agency and the power of imagination, with a large cast and live music.
