BAY AREA THRASH IN A DOUBLE PACK The Bay Area is coming to Pratteln. Death Angel is celebrating the 35th anniversary of their cult album "Act III" with an exclusive complete performance and bringing along Vio-Lence, another pioneer of the legendary thrash metal movement, to Z7. Two cult bands, two decades of music history, and an evening full of high-speed riffs, mosh pit guarantee, and Bay Area spirit. Since their founding in 1982, Death Angel has been one of the most influential bands in the legendary Bay Area thrash scene. With uncompromising riffs, technical precision, and an unstoppable live energy, the Californians are still at the forefront of the genre more than four decades later. After their reunion in 2001, the band entered a second, highly successful phase of their career with critically acclaimed albums like "The Art Of Dying," "The Dream Calls For Blood," "The Evil Divide," and the Grammy-nominated "Humanicide." In 2025, Death Angel made a strong comeback with the new singles "Wrath (Bring Fire)" and "Cult Of The Used." However, the current tour focuses on a very special anniversary: for the 35th birthday of their classic "Act III," the album will be played live in full for the first time at Z7. The setlist will also include selected highlights from the entire band history – an absolute celebration for all thrash metal fans. Vio-Lence has been one of the most important pioneers of the second thrash metal wave since the mid-1980s. With their cult album "Eternal Nightmare," the musicians from Oakland made Bay Area history and influenced generations of metal bands. After their reunion, the scene legends are back on stage regularly, delivering their uncompromising mix of speed, aggression, and precision for the perfect start to an unforgettable thrash night. And that's not all: the evening will kick off with a local band from the region. Who will snag the opening slot will be decided in a band contest. More information will follow shortly.
