Description

Dea Matrona originated from the musical collaboration of Mollie McGinn and Orláith Forsythe. The two singers and multi-instrumentalists met during an Irish-language singing competition in their early teens and later started performing together on the streets of Belfast. With a consistent DIY approach, the duo built a fanbase over the years, self-funded their first releases, and developed their sound mainly live. The debut album "For Your Sins" reached number 1 on the Independent Breakers Charts in 2024, received airplay on BBC Radio 1, and took Dea Matrona to Glastonbury and as a support act for The Beaches on tour. On June 5, 2026, Dea Matrona released their second album "Hate That I Care."
