«The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari» live scored by Jozef van Wissem

Description

Franzis and his best friend Alan visit a fair in their hometown Holstenwall. There, the eerie showman Dr. Caligari presents the clairvoyant somnambulist Cesare. Cesare predicts Alan's death — and on the same night, Alan is murdered. Franzis suspects a connection with Dr. Caligari, who can initially dismiss the suspicion. Jozef van Wissem managed to rekindle the fascination with this traditional instrument in the midst of the 21st century. In 2013, his contemplative compositions resonated in Jim Jarmusch's «Only Lovers Left Alive».
