Description

How easy is it to condemn Lída Baarová and understand Zorka Janů? A play about the life struggles of a star and living in her shadow. A tragic farce about the different characters and fates of two sisters. One was cursed by her beauty, while the other was defined only by who her sister was. Both longed for great film roles, but the hardest role was given to them by life itself. Lída Baarová will be portrayed by Barbora Mottlová, and her sister Zorka Janů by Lucie Linhartová. All male characters will be played by Radomír Švec, who will also provide live music for the performance. Costumes, set design, and projections by Markéta Šafáriková will transport the audience to the restless 1930s. Directed by Josef Hervert.
