Description
Ramon, Patricia, and Isabelle travel in the Marche region of Italy, led by the mysterious Ivonne Sanluca to Lorenzo Lotto's Annunciation in a falsely scholarly stroll that always bows to detours and delight. A few days tracing the steps of this nomadic painter, discussing the ever-renewed pleasure of being in Italy. « L’Italie, c’est toujours bien » is a novel about the art of traveling light. What to throw away? What to keep? To arrive at the ultimate question. What to do with one's own carcass? Corinne Desarzens will read from her book and during a discussion will take us on her journey towards art and self-discovery. Born in Sète in 1952, Corinne Desarzens lives in Switzerland. Passionate about languages, she is sometimes a translator and has published around thirty books including novels, short stories, and travel narratives, among them a trilogy about her family, « Poisson-tambour » (Campiche, 2006), « Tabac de Havane évoluant vers le chrysanthème » (L’Aire, 2008), « Le soutien-gorge noir » (L’Aire, 2017). She is the recipient of numerous awards including the prestigious Grand Prix suisse de littérature 2026 and the Grand Prix Ramuz 2025, awarded every five years. Organizer: Literarischer Club Zürich
