Description
The Curious Bards bring to light airs born on the roads of Ireland and Scotland, including collections of melodies and dances from the 17th and 18th centuries that preserve their trace.
Through this repertoire passed down from hand to hand and mouth to ear, The Curious Bards open their "musical bedside book" to us. From houses to taverns, from family gatherings to festive venues, ballads, traditional airs, and lively dance suites create a sensitive and contrasting tableau.
As many stories and adventures of yesteryear as these whimsical bards revive with passion, close to Celtic imaginaries. Sarah Van Oudenhove: viola da gamba
Jean-Christophe Morel: Irish cittern (lute)
Louis Capeille: triple harp
Bruno Harlé: flutes
Alix Boivert: baroque violin
