Description
At the origin of this project, there is the meeting of Sandra Tamayo Ramos (bagpipe and voice) and Cassandre Balbar (bagpipe and recorders), both marked early on by the expressive force of Galician music. Each then took their own path, marked by fidelity to traditional sources, international collaborations, and a taste for sound crossings.
They are joined here by their stage companions.
Alongside Cassandre Balbar, Phil Alexander forms a duo where personal compositions and Galician, British, and Klezmer inspirations meet.
Sandra Tamayo Ramos and Carlos Peso Boullosa have been evolving for many years in a fertile musical Galicia, where rural heritage nourishes open and inventive forms. Cassandre Balosso-Bardin: bagpipe (Galician bagpipe) and flutes
Sandra Tamayo Ramos: bagpipe and singing
Phil Alexander: piano-accordion
Carlos Peso Boullosa: Galician percussion
