Description

Adriano, a grumpy and taciturn loner, lives alone in the former stables of Villa Guelfi, an abandoned estate in Tuscany. When a group of young people settles in the villa and enters the grounds to restore fields and vineyards, he feels disturbed and wants to drive them away. Among them is Matilde, who grew up here with her grandfather and rediscovering traces of her childhood. The young people are curious about this hermit with a mysterious past. Through Matilde and her pregnancy, Adrian's hostility turns into care. The seasons pass, and between vine stocks and faded rooms, the present and the past meet. From mistrust, a cautious coexistence develops, in which memories, responsibility, and new plans are negotiated. (I/d)
