Description

1977, in a small village in Ticino: 16-year-old Mario is somewhere between youth and adulthood. In school as in life, many things are shaken, especially his relationship with his authoritarian father. For the summer, he is sent to the mountains to work in agriculture. There he encounters a rough but free world, where nature sets the rhythm. In this environment, Mario discovers new forms of responsibility, sensuality, and artistic self-determination – experiences that profoundly change his view of himself and his future. The Ticinese director Erik Bernasconi adapts Giorgio Genetelli's novel into a lively portrait of the 1970s. Filmed shortly after the storm in the Maggiatal in 2024, the film combines nostalgic aesthetics and impressive natural images with an exciting Italian soundtrack to create an emotional, summery cinematic experience.
