The singer and songwriter Chico Chico is one of the most powerful and authentic voices of a new generation of Brazilian musicians. Since the beginning of his career with the band 2x0 Vargem Alta (2015), he has released numerous acclaimed works, including his song «A Cidade» (nominated for a Latin Grammy), his collaboration with Fran Gil (over 23 million streams on Spotify), and his album «Pomares» (nominated for a Latin Grammy). As the son of the legendary Cássia Eller, Chico pays tribute to the family legacy while building his own musical career, shaped by collaborations with Maria Bethânia, Nando Reis, and Zé Ramalho. At the LusoSonic Festival at Moods, Chico Chico will present his new album «Let It Burn – Deixa Arder», an intense, versatile work that reflects his artistic range and combines diverse influences. Moving between romantic, intimate moments and powerful, genre-crossing songs, he explores blues, folk, Brazilian rhythms, gospel, and milonga. Original pieces meet newly interpreted classics, while the production by Pedro Fonseca and collaborations with renowned musicians add depth to the work. The album reflects Chico Chico's current artistic identity – raw, multifaceted, and full of expression.
