Description

"Changin' Constants" Exhibition In recent years, each of us has become aware of the rapid pace at which social, political, and technological changes are sweeping the world. Developments are coming thick and fast, certainties are being shaken, and no sooner have we begun to get used to one new reality than the next one seems to be right around the corner. Whether we feel confused, curious, or even unsettled, we follow these events and try to find our way in this ongoing evolutionary process. It is not only our environment that is changing. Our perceptions, our relationships with others, and our understanding of what we consider self-evident, natural, or unchangeable are constantly being renegotiated. But what happens when these changes run far deeper than we might expect? When not only social structures and technologies are subject to change, but even supposed constants lose their validity? The exhibition brings together diverse artistic perspectives that engage with change, shift, and reorientation. The works on display approach these developments from different perspectives and allow us to experience how we try to keep pace with a world whose rules are increasingly changing as the game unfolds.
