The Vrbovec Winegrowers' Guild organizes the 5th edition of the winter and hellish variant of the "Open Cellars" event in their cellar alley. On the first Saturday in December from 2 PM to 8 PM, look forward to Christmas-decorated wine cellars offering tastings of local wines (including young wines from the new vintage), as well as mulled wine or punch to warm you up, and plenty of treats including pig slaughter specialties and sweet pastries. Those that are open to the public will be recognized by a decorated and lit Christmas tree at their doors. The right pre-Christmas atmosphere will also be enhanced in some cellars with small gifts from local winemakers. The main attraction of the event (besides the wine, of course) will again be a wandering group of devils, who will move from cellar to cellar in the alley and cause mischief. These devils are cheerful and will not scare anyone; they will just occasionally sparkle or puff around them. They will mainly tease the winemakers, but now and then they will play devilish pranks on visitors as well. For well-behaved children, they will have sweet treats.
