Čertovské koštování

Description

The pre-Christmas decorated cellars invite visitors to enjoy a cozy atmosphere, where winemakers have time to chat with guests. Each open cellar will offer samples of younger and older wines for tasting from 14:00 to 20:00, with mulled wine and punch filling the air, and plenty of treats including pig slaughter specialties. Sweet pastries will delight the taste buds, and the pre-Christmas atmosphere will be enhanced by small gifts from local winemakers in some cellars. The main accompanying program for this tasting is a "roaming group of devils," which will be present in the cellar alley throughout the event, moving back and forth from cellar to cellar and causing mischief. These will be cheerful devils, not frightening anyone, but occasionally sparking, hissing, flashing, or smoking around them. They will mainly tease the winemakers, but now and then, they will play tricks on the visitors as well. However, children certainly have no reason to be afraid of them.

General Information

The fifth edition of Čertovské koštování will be held in the cellar alley of Vrbovec on the first Saturday of December from 14:00 to 20:00. Visitors can enjoy a variety of wines, mulled wine, and local specialties while experiencing a festive atmosphere enhanced by playful devils.
