Carmina Burana by Carl Orff

Description

Experience an intimate and rare rendition of one of the most iconic works of the 20th century, performed by the renowned Sinfonietta Bern ensemble under conductor Igor Andreev. This concert features a choir assembled in collaboration with Vienna-based opera collective Creator Classics, delivering a bold interpretation of Orff's explosive choral music based on 13th-century poems. The program traces the work's traditional three-part structure, from the awakening of spring to love and desire, framed by a dramatic prologue and epilogue that remind us of the relentless wheel of fate.
